Let Property Campaign

The Let Property Campaign is one of the voluntary tax disclosure opportunity where landlords with undisclosed rental income can inform HMRC about this irregularity on a more favourable term.

This campaign is open to all landlords who have not disclosed their rental income

It is available to landlords who have single properties, landlords who have multiple properties, non residents who live abroad and rent out their property in the UK, holiday lets and situations where a room is let in your main home for more than the Rent a room threshold.

It is more beneficial to make a voluntary prompted disclosure to HMRC as the terms are more favourable as opposed to me an unprompted disclosure. An unprompted disclosure is where HMRC write to the individual informing them to correct their tax affairs. There is no current deadline for the campaign ending.
